I really nice space for meeting friends / family etc for something to eat or just drinks. There are a wide range of different food providers (from fish bar to Thai to pizza to vegan, etc) around the space with seating in the middle areas.

Nice market with a good selection of street food vendors. There is also a bar. A few craft, toy, flower stalls as well. We had a mezze and it was lovely.

What an excellent spot in Chester to find independent traders, especially food outlets. Check out the Chester in Lego exhibit! We had food from Big Lola's a couple of times during our mini break, great service and delicious food. Coffee from Bean and Cole was excellent. The central seating area has been well designed and is kept clean and tidy. Recommended and will definitely return.

Chester Market was fantastic apart from the Champagne and Wine bar. One member of staff was arrogant and rude despite me telling him I was next at the bar having already been overlooked once he served someone who literally had just walked up. Our first round of drinks were lovely but I walked away as they clearly pick and chose who to serve and this is NOT acceptable. Champagne and wine bar sort your staff out!!!

On a recent trip to Chester, friends suggested checking out the new indoor market and food hall located near the historic city walls.
Having read mixed reviews online, I wasn't sure what to expect from this modern interpretation of a traditional market space.

Right away upon entering, it was clear this was no normal market.
You will find a very sleek, warehouse-style interior which feels more like a bustling food court than your typical greengrocers and stalls.
Rows of various dining counters and bars lined the open-plan area, all very busy serving a mixed clientele.

Beyond the food, a collection of other retailers like a cheese shop, butcher, pet food and plant stalls added dash of market atmosphere. Upmarket perhaps, but the quality and presentation shone through.

The variety of cuisines on display is impressive: from Mexican tacos to Thai curry, gourmet Scotch eggs to wood-fired pizzas.
Visiting in weekend and wet weather - the place was packed!
Spotting an empty table was a mission but we managed to eventually to grab lunch of different street food.

While a pricier proposition than your average market, the space has clearly become a popular destination. With its focus on dining over shopping, Chester Market seems to have a unique identity blending indoor food court with independent producers.

Recommended to try when not too busy for a more relaxed experience.

We came here for dinner on our first night of a short stay in Chester. The stalls at the front were shut when we arrived so it looked very quiet from outside but as you walk towards the back, it was a great atmosphere.
It’s a street food set up where you order at the stall & you’re given a beeper to collect your food when it’s ready. There’s a good selection of stalls and the service was quick. We had pizza & the amazing mozzarella doughballs plus pulled pork Mac & cheese. The bar in the middle was great and service was really friendly.
