Lunch on a Saturday, we don’t live in Texas we were just passing through. Best decision to stop in and eat at a local diner. My husband and I and our son ate fabulous made from scratch home cooked meals, huge portion sizes for a total of $37. We definitely tipped well it was well worth it. Average amount of wait time for food, our total time there was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Many menu choices and kids food options. Friendly and inviting. We got the chicken fried steak, Cajun fish, and catfish strips. All of it was amazing and salad bar was extremely well kept and produce very fresh. Free beans while you wait so the kiddos have something to munch on. We had the best experience please stop and support these local business owners!

Very good home cooking! We will be back! I had the Club sandwich. Hubby had grilled ham and cheese. Onion rings are HUGE!

Updating my review because this used to be 5 star

Went this last Saturday 9/28/2024. Service sucked! My husband had to get up and get our drinks etc. went to pay, lady decided to give herself a large tip. She took advantage of my dad not filling in the tip. She asked my dad if he wanted to tip? My dad said yeah and told her a percentage. But made herself have one heck of a tip that was NOT deserved.

This is some real home cooking. Prices are reasonable. The service here is equal to none. Everyone is family, so make this trip to this family owned and operated eatery in Santa Anna, Texas.

Favorite place to eat in Santa Anna. Excellent food and service. Even the other customers are friendly. We usually end up pretty full from the salad bar and beans and have to take most of the dinner home. It's great reheated too.
