I would say a must for a good Saturday. Lots of local shops, hand made cheese and jams, local cakes, tons of different merchandise and haven't seen so many charity shops in same place anywhere in UK.

Phenomenal place to visit plenty to see and do, excellent shopping on market, the famous 2 Pork Pie Shops a must to go to, and great Canal boat trips that only cost a £5

A really lovely place, with lots of shops and plenty to explore. It is close to the canal barges, with some nice little nooks to walk through. It also has a castle and some beautiful churches and cathedrals.

Visited 20 and 25 September whilst passing through Skipton. Spent a couple of enjoyable hours wandering around the stalls and making purchases. Good variety of varying items clothes, scarfs, pet bedding cheese, fish, underwear, hats, antiques to name some. My friend and I visited two years ago however we felt that in our opinion there was even more variety and stalls then. All the stall holders were cheerfully and helpfull and prices were reasonable. Still a good market though and will still visit in the future.
Skipton is a great town with lots of individual interesting shops. No problems with parking either.

What a great market in the historic heart of old Shipton. Lots of very nice cafes and canal side walks. Love the place.

A lovely little market town that has some beautiful buildings and areas to walk which are close to the town centre. Nice to see a market busy and I’m looking forward to having my brownies which I purchased. Pity about the rain but don’t let a bit of drizzle put you off going. Enjoy the market.

This was a Friday market, and predominantly for apparel. Is buying handkerchiefs even a thing nowadays? Socks and hats predominated, and there were some bodywear stalls, but, disapointingly, no fruit or vegetables, and I didn't see any dairy. It didn't really say North Yorkshire overall. It was generally clean and tidy...but be aware of that step down from the pavement to the roadside around the stalls....that's a morning after plea from my painful back!
